FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

THE ACTION HEATS UP IN PAINKILLER JANE #2
Writer Jimmy Palmiotti Continues to Push Jane to New Limits in Dynamite Series

May 16, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - Dynamite Entertainment today released images and information announcing the release of Painkiller Jane #2, the second issue of the all-new Painkiller Jane comic series from co-creators Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti.

Dynamite's new Painkiller Jane comic book series kicked off in April with the special introductory priced - just $.25 - Painkiller Jane #0 to coincide with Jane's SCI FI Channel debut. The Dynamite series features a story by Jane creators Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti and is written by Palmiotti with interior art from returning Painkiller Jane artist Lee Moder. Painkiller Jane #1 is due in stores today (May 16th) and issue #2 is scheduled for a June release and will be available with covers by Amanda (Supergirl, DC's upcoming Terra Series) Conner and Alecia Rodriguez. Fans should also check with their local retailer, as Painkiller Jane #2 will also be available as a "Blood Red" Foil Edition!

About the release, Dynamite stated, "Painkiller Jane #0 started with Jane getting a tattoo (you've really got to see the issue to believe it!) and ended with in a fiery finale. Jane returns to the land of the living in issue #1 and was not happy (getting blown up tends to put her in a bad mood), but that didn't stop her from tackling a terrorist, saving a train full of New Yorkers and falling head first into a dangerous and mysterious conspiracy. By the end of the issue #1, the action really got hot for Jane (if you read it, you know what we mean) and continues to do so right through issue #2. So far, Painkiller Jane has been a great series- Guns! Explosions! Hard-hitting, in-your-face action! This series has it all! And to top it all off, you can catch Painkiller Jane in her Sci Fi television series every Friday night."

Painkiller Jane has starred in numerous cross-over comics with the likes of The Punisher, The Darkness, Vampirella, and Hellboy. The new SCI-FI television series with Kristanna Loken of Terminator 3 fame starring as Jane Vasko continues every Friday night!

PAINKILLER JANE #2(APR07 3577) STORY BY JOE QUESADA AND JIMMY PALMIOTTI; WRITTEN BY JIMMY PALMIOTTI; ART BY LEE MODER; COVER ART BY AMANDA CONNER (75%) AND ALECIA RODRIGUEZ (25%)!

As seen on the Sci Fi Channel! Jane is back! The creative team of Joe Quesada, Jimmy Palmiotti and Lee Moder return for an all - new Painkiller Jane event!

The story that exploded (literally!) out of issue #0 and barreled into issue #1 continues here as Jane faces "the Infidel" - - a new character that will play a major role in note only this series, but in Jane's entire future! All guided by Jane creators Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti and PKJ artist Lee Moder!
